The Courage to Maintain Balance
Chad and I had a really fun call, jam packed with practical information about yoga & whole food, plant based nutrition. Chad explained how a green drank in the morning can really start you off ahead of the pack and he told us a couple of yoga poses to try when fear comes up!
- How the philosophy of yoga and a whole food, plant based diet can help you reclaim your health and shift from fear to courage as you step into your purpose. Courage demands our best self and that is a self in balance. A sound nutrition program and regular yoga practice(play) can be the foundation for the deep harmony of balance.
- Courage is about facing fear and not being paralyzed by it. By allowing our courage to grow, we are taking charge of our health and living the fullness that our life is inviting us into.
- Creating balance in our lives is not easy. We are a hungry and noisy people who are bombarded with stimulation, poor nutrition and internal and external voices of doubt and criticism. Like the body, the mind and soul need time t digest, assimilate and rest.
Chad has studied and practiced health and nutrition since 1997. He holds a B.S. degree in Sociology of Poverty, Inequality and Social Justice from the University of Minnesota. It was his study of Inequality that led him to become a health activist, realizing how much the uninformed public, especially children, are victimized by toxicity in our food. Drawing on his diverse back ground in Living Food instruction, yoga, meditation and superfood living, Chad creates a unique classroom experience in which the yoga practitioner experiences the yoga as a form of healing and a means to feeling their absolute best. Chad’s classes are what he considers “yoga as medicine” and therapy in motion. He offers insight into postures and how they can be used to address a diversity of ailments such as fatigue, back pain, shoulder/neck pain, arthritis, diabetes, fibromyalgia, anxiety/depression, blood pressure, cold/flu/sinus and tense or sore muscles. Chad teaches classes and gives presentations, workshops & retreats to hundreds of people each month, and meets with people one-on-one and in groups for lifestyle, health and fitness consultations. Chad likes to think of himself more as a Joyologist than a yoga instructor or wholefood coach.
